Surprise “True Cinema”

On May 2nd of 2010, we had the privilege of filming the daughter of Austin Bauer, Meredith, at the Briscoe Manor (see Meredith & Lang cinematic movie here).
One of her bridesmaids, best friend and roommate, Sarah True, caught the bouquet at that wedding which set into motion the beginning of a new love story we wanted to share.
The back story…Sarah originally planned to book Blue Star to cover her January 22nd 2011 wedding but fell onto financial hardships. After some discussion with Meredith and Sarah’s mother, we decided to surprise Sarah on the day of her wedding.
Her reaction is priceless and is included in the presentation of this movie.
The opening segment begins with Sarah catching the bouquet at Meredith’s wedding and Sarah’s story continues from there.

Our first wedding of 2011 was filmed at the absolutely stunning Bell Tower on 34th St. It was a bit chilly for this outdoor ceremony at the Water Wall but I bet my bottom dollar the loving warmth Sarah and Jake shared kept them nice and cozy at the alter. They’re crazy in love and you could definitely feel it if you were anywhere near these two. They were always smiling and just the way they held each other during their first dance, you knew, this love is for real!!!

Star Wars Theme Wedding

This one is a bit over-the-top, but the Bride and Groom wanted to have something different in a wedding film. When we had our meeting with the wedding planner and the bride,it was revealed there were going to be some “Star Wars” elements incorporated into the reception (the bride wanted to surprise her new husband with light sabre’s drawn as they made their big introduction at the reception). It turns out, the B&G were HUGE fans of the Star Wars films. As a filmmaker, the first thing I thought of was the opening title crawl synonymous with those films. From there, the groom wanted to land the Millenium Falcon in the Church parking lot. This required a blue screen set up and we were all in for that. The bride wanted to re-enact R2D2 projecting her as a hologram, think “Empire Strikes Back”, and we were all over that too! Over time, the opening title crawl was only the beginning of what has now become a fan film of Star Wars wedding films. So, sit back and relax and watch what could be the greatest story ever told from this side of the Galaxy.NOTE: We left off the bride’s private message to her new husband and the “rolling credits” at the end of the film to lessen the size of this video file.

Meredith & Lang…”Cinematic Movie”

Filmed at the beautiful Briscoe Manor, Mere and Lang had the time of their lives…and so did the guests.  This clip is our “CINEMATIC” WIDESCREEN movie that takes you from the rehearsal dinner to the farewell and all points in between. So, if you’ve got about 30 minutes and a good set of headphones, sit back and enjoy some really good music and a highly edited presentation of the bride and groom’s wonderful day.
